As California’s first co-op brewery, our mission is to create a new “resting place” worthy of our local community. Umunhum means "resting place of the hummingbird". We are a growing group of dedicated members who are passionate about great beer, customer service, sustainability, and great food (supporting local and organic farms where possible). We strive to reflect our local heritage here in the San Jose region and to build a stronger community by working with local businesses and organizations and with other co-ops. Join us in developing our community as well as hands-on testing of our new beer recipes. Happy Hummingbird

Golden Wheat Ale
Gratifyingly well-balanced for a hefeweizen, Happy Hummingbird is a light and refreshing ale with a slightly sweet flavor and a fluffy mouthfeel. The golden hazy hue and aroma of bananas, with a hint of cloves, will draw you in for your first taste, and you’ll happily stay for more. With its low hop bitterness, this flavor-packed hefeweizen has a smooth, dry finish, making a cheerful choice for a hot summer day.

Sud-Nord

Saison
Slightly hazy golden-orange colored Saison with a white head. Fruity aromas and citrus flavors of oranges and lemons along with mild peppery spiciness from the yeast, combine with the fruity and floral notes from the wildflower honey to create a nectar that both South Bay hummingbirds and North Bay bees will enjoy. Light grainy maltiness, sparkling carbonation, and a dry finish make this the perfect ale to relax with after a hard day humming or buzzing out in the field!

Wiki Wheat

Weizenbock
Collectively nurtured by multiple member contributions, Wiki Wheat is a dark hazy Weizenbock sporting a bready wheat flavor that’s balanced with a toasty malt sweetness reminiscent of dark fruits. This rich, high-alcohol wheat ale is complex and inviting, with a light tan head that presents a blend of malty, fruity banana, and spicy clove aromas. Thanks to its low levels of bitterness, Wiki Wheat has a slightly sweet palate and a smooth, dry finish.
